Commercial and industrial locations are often served by 208 V three-phase electrical services. Tankless water heaters are available with 208 V heating elements that are 10 to 15% lower wattage than the 240 V elements. Therefore the heater’s temperature rise is lower. The table below shows which ratings are affected.
